The Buttercream Bee is owned and operated by Laura Reynolds. Upon graduating from Emory and Henry College, Laura enrolled at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone (CIA). Located in St Helena, CA, the CIA offered the fundamentals required to pursue a professional career in the culinary industry. The program covered all aspects of French baking, such as breads, cookies, sugar sculpting, chocolates, wedding cakes, pastries, tarts, and many other products. In 2002, Laura graduated from the CIA with a Baking and Pastry Certificate.

After leaving the Napa Valley, Laura moved to Richmond, Virginia where she worked at the Country Club of Virginia and later at Jean Jacques Bakery. After 8 years of working in the industry Laura decided to pursue her passion for cakes. The Buttercream Bee was born and now Laura enjoys creating custom cakes with her clients and being a part of many special celebrations.Laura Reynolds
